QUANTICO, Va. (Sept. 24, 2021) U.S. Army Capt. Thomas Drown, assigned to Joint Task Force Civil Support and U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4, based out of Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, Virginia, secure a fleet vehicle and mobile diesel generator on a landing craft, air cushion, attached to ACU 4, during a deployment readiness exercise on Marine Corps Base Quantico Virginia, Sept. 24, 2021. The exercise enables JTF-CS to strengthen its unique capabilities, including an ability to deploy on short or no-notice into austere environments. The commands unique capabilities are not readily available in other federal agencies or in the private sector and ensures JTF-CS can position the right people and resources for life-saving and life-sustaining actions during all-hazards defense support of civil authorities operations.
