Command Sgt. Maj. Fidel Gomez, command sergeant major, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), reads off the names of the fallen warriors during a memorial ceremony in Ameriyah, Dec. 7. The Black Knights honored their fallen Soldiers over the past year at the sight where they lost seven men May 14, 2007, and on the day they lost their first Soldier.
