Staff Sgt. Brian Ringrose, assigned to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, prepares to compete in 240 machine gun live fire for the Department of the Army's Best Warrior Competition on Fort Knox, Kentucky, Oct. 4, 2021. The Best Warrior Competition challenges the best from the U.S. Army to compete annually for the title of Best Warrior. Soldiers representing seven geographic commands and 22 functional commands, spend a week competing in a variety of challenges including; firing weapons, land navigation, the Army Combat Fitness Test, and various mystery events.
