A Soldier from the 411th Military Police Company, 720th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade from Fort Hood, Texas, enjoys fresh barbecue at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Oct. 9, 2021. The command staff hosted a cookout to give their cooks a break and to thank Soldiers for their vital contribution to Operation Allies Welcome. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
