OKINAWA, Japan – Green Berets with 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) prepare a beach
landing site during a joint Marine and Navy exercise at Kin Blue Beach training area, October 5, 2021.
Combat rubber raiding crafts were launched from the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay
(LPD-20) 16 nautical miles away from the coast in order to practice low visibility infiltration techniques.
The Green Berets were able to integrate with Marines with Combat Logistics Regiment 3 and 2nd
Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, and U.S. Sailors of the USS Green Bay during the joint exercise in order
to enhance interoperability for future maritime operations. (U.S. Army courtesy photo)
