Spc. Ryan Bost, 610th Engineer Support Company, 14th Engineer Battalion, 555th Engineer Brigade, gets ready to screw in a board during the construction of a new handicap accessible ramp leading up to a building at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Oct. 14, 2021. The ramp will give Afghan evacuees who use the facility easier access as they continue the process through Operation Allies Welcome. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
