NAVAL BASE GUAM (Oct. 13, 2021) - Firefighters from U.S. Naval Base Guam’s Fire and Emergency Services are undergoing a 10-day rescue technician course. The course includes training in rope rescue and confined space rescue and certifies firefighters on technical rescue maneuvers such as crawling into an enclosed space, rappelling down from great heights, and passing over knots. The Rescue Technician Course is being taught by instructors from Bucks County Community College and will qualify 18 NBG FES personnel once the course is completed.
