Aaron Birdwell, an explosive ordnance disposal technician with Task Force Koa Moana 21, I Marine Expeditionary Force, receives the senior explosive ordnance disposal badge during Palau’s first buried disposal in Melekeok, Republic of Palau, Oct. 14, 2021. The badge was presented to Birdwell for serving five years in an EOD billet, graduating the EOD supervisor course, serving six months cumulative time deployed filling an EOD billet, and demonstrating proficiency on all individual training requirements per Marine Corps order 3571.2H.
