Officer Mike Coleman with Provost Marshal Office greets community members during National Drug Take Back Initiative on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Oct. 23, 2021. People with unused or expired medication went to the collection site to safely dispose their old medicines. The Consolidated Substance Abuse Counseling Center strives to ensure safety as well as provide facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant commands. The Provost Marshal Office and CSACC held the event in coordination with the Drug Enforcement Administration to give community members the opportunity to turn in any expired or unneeded prescription drugs for proper disposal. “All over you’ll see law enforcement and drug counselors receiving expired prescription drugs.” said Lt. Timothy Horton, Alpha section watch commander, PMO. “If people have any drugs they are no longer using they can bring them here.
