State Troopers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol visit Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island on Oct. 15, 2021. The Mississippi Highway Patrol sent instructors from the state police academy to learn leadership and training techniques from drill instructors. LtCol. Thomas Tuggle, the academy director and a former active duty Marine, wanted the instructors to see where he learned leadership firsthand in hopes of strengthening the skillsets of his instructors.
