Japan Ground Self-Defense Force members salute U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. H. Stacy Clardy, III, the III Marine Expeditionary Force Commanding General as he enters Camp Kengun, Japan, on Oct. 25, 2021. Clardy met with the JGSDF Western Army Commander to discuss current and future operations between III MEF and the Western Army. For more than 60 years, the U.S.- Japan Alliance has been the cornerstone of stability and security in the Indo-Pacific.
