U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Christopher Donelson, an Explosive Ordnance Technician with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group, removes the warhead from the cartridge casing of an 84mm cartridge during a joint ordnance exploitation range on Range 10, Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 26, 2021. EOD Marines from III Marine Expeditionary Force, Soldiers with U.S. Army 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry, and Airmen with U.S. Airforce 18th Civil Engineer Squadron EOD, conducted a joint ordnance exploitation range to integrate different branches of service and logistics-based military occupational specialties to facilitate exploitation, focusing on finding solutions to joint EOD challenges and projecting forward sustainment. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
