Task Force Eagle key leaders conduct a community engagement with Afghan guests at the living support area as part of Operations Allies Welcome, Fort Lee, Virginia, Oct. 27, 2021. These engagements are conducted to ensure all the Afghan guests can express any concerns or questions they might have. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
