A U.S. Marine with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Rein.) participates in a brief prior to Helicopter Support Team (HST) training on Landing Zone Swan, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 28, 2021. HST allow Marines to swiftly transport heavy equipment by air to a vast range of locations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
