Wook Suh, Republic of Korea Minister of Defense at the Korea America Friendship Society 2021 ROK-US Alliance Seminar at Seoul, Republic of Korea, Oct. 28, 2021. The purpose of the event was to discuss the ROK-US ironclad relationship with a focus on lessons learned from the Afghanistan crisis.
“In particular, KAFS has supported a variety of friendship activities and events for U.S. Forces Korea service members to feel more pride and a sense of accomplishment during their service in Korea,” said Suh. “We are able to showcase, at home and abroad, the potential of the ROK-U.S. Alliance,” referring to Operation Miracle, which required the cooperation of ROK and U.S. forces.
