Rear Adm. Charles “Chip” Rock, Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic, throws a wreath for fallen servicemen and women at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum during a Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremony as part of Fleet Week New York (FWNY). FWNY, now in its 39th year, is the city's time-honored celebration of the sea services. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. Navy meets the challenge to honor and remember lost comrades. FWNY is a rare opportunity for local residents to meet Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen and witness what they do.
