(Nov. 04, 2021) Hull Maintenance Technician 2nd Class Miranda Smith from Dracut, Mass., guides members of the de-smoking team during a fast cruise aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The fast cruise consists of equipment tests, simulations, scenarios, which refresh and train Sailors for underway periods. Nimitz is currently undergoing a planned incremental availability maintenance period at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
