Two attendees of the Domestic Violence Awareness Month “Walk in Her Shoes” event pick up a card to start their journey around the room at Chievres Air Base, Belgium, Oct. 28, 2021. The scenarios depicted on the cards were those of a domestic violence victim who is trying to leave an abusive relationship. The event attendees were instructed to make decisions and try to figure out a way to get the individual out of that situation. The event, hosted by the Army Community Service Family Advocacy team, was aimed at raising awareness by helping participants to understand what it is like to be in a domestic violence environment.
