Soldiers assigned to Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion, 320th Infantry Regiment, Division Artillery, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), execute a live fire training exercise on the Mark 119 Alpha 3 during Operation Lethal Eagle Nov. 5, at Fort Campbell, Ky.
“The Mark 119 is one of the fastest weapons systems that we train on, and it can be a battle-changing asset to support the infantry,” said Staff Sgt. Elier Diaz, section chief for Alpha Battery. “Whether we use it to illuminate the sky, create a smoke cloud, or just all out blow up obstacles in the way of victory, the Mark 119 is a highly valuable asset and I take great pride in training my Soldiers to master this weapon system in order to keep us ready to win at all costs.”
