BILLINGS, Mont. -- U.S. Navy Lt. Anderson Lexus, a certified registered nurse anesthetist with the Naval Medical Readiness and Training Command Pensacola, uses a suctioning tube to clear secretions from a patient’s endotracheal tube at Billing Clinic Hospital in Billings, Montana, Nov. 11, 2021. The treatment removes any mucus obstructions from the breathing tube and helps support oxygenation and ventilation to the patient. Sailors assigned to Naval Medical Forces Atlantic deployed in support of the continued Department of Defense COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID response. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Andre Taylor)
