McKie was also the key note speaker at the event, which was attended by more than 100 people, including Veterans, civilians and both active-duty and reserve service members at this historic graveyard framed by U.S. flags, the flags of all the U.S. military services, the POW/MIA flag and overlooking the San Francisco Bay to the east.
