U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Steven Sentner, a flying crew chief with the 62d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, points to a panel while explaining specialized refueling operations on a C-17 Globemaster III at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Nov. 9, 2021, during Exercise Rainier War 21B. Specialized refueling allows an aircrew to quickly and efficiently deliver large amounts of fuel with minimal ground personnel assistance, and swiftly depart the location. Rainier War 21B exercised and evaluated the 62nd Airlift Wing’s ability to employ the force and their ability to perform during wartime and contingency taskings in a high-intensity, wartime contested, degraded and operationally limited environment while supporting the contingency operations against a near-peer adversary in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility.
