Air Force Special Tactics operators, assigned to the 24th Special Operations Wing, set up a radio in order to control a remote airfield during Exercise Rainier War, a semi-annual exercise led by 62nd Airlift Wing, at Yakima Training Center, Wa. Nov. 5, 2021. Rainier War is designed to train Airmen under realistic scenarios that support full spectrum readiness operations against modern threats and replicate today’s contingency operations. Special Tactics Airmen serve as U.S. Special Operations Command's tactical air-to-ground integration force and the Air Force's only special operations ground force, leading global access, precision strike, personnel recovery and battlefield surgery operations.(U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Kelly Walker)
