SASEBO, Japan (Nov. 17, 2021) - Rear Adm. Chris Engdahl, commander of Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) 7, Task Force (CTF) 76, meets with Sailors of the USS Rushmore (LSD 47) on Commander Fleet Activities, Sasebo Japan, Nov. 17, 2021. Rushmore, part of Amphibious Squadron 11, is forward deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
