Scott Honnens, crew chiefs serving in the Nebraska Army National Guard, prepare a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter in Lincoln, Neb., to provide aerial firefighting capability in support of firefighters battling the Buffalo Creek wildfire in western Nebraska Nov. 15, 2021. Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts directed the activation of two UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters with water buckets and 9 Army National Guard soldiers for the mission after a fire started and quickly spread burned more than 2,000 acres the previous day.
