U.S. Navy HM3 Taylor Hale, a special operations independent duty corpsman with 1st Platoon, Force Reconnaissance Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force attends an indoor simulated marksmanship trainer course on Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 3, 2021. “The ISMT helps me integrate with the Recon Marines at III MEF; I don’t have an infantry background, so this allows me to learn the weapons systems being utilized and how to operate them should I need to,” Hale stated. “I appreciate the opportunity to gain these opportunities, the instructors have an expansive knowledge when it comes to different weapons systems, and I think that it’s important for me to know as a Corpsman assigned to a Reconnaissance Company.” (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
