MAYPORT, Fla. – (Nov. 19, 2021) – Chief Yeoman Juan Quintanaserrano, assigned to U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet, is pinned with anchors by Senior Chief Quartermaster Alison Goeke during a Chief Petty Officer pinning ceremony at Naval Station Mayport, Nov. 19, 2021. The traditional U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer pinning ceremony recognizes the most significant promotion of an enlisted Sailor's career. Quintanaserrano, a native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, has proudly served 17 years in the Navy. U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet supports U.S. Southern Command’s joint and combined military operations by employing maritime forces in cooperative maritime security operations to maintain access, enhance interoperability, and build enduring partnerships in order to enhance regional security and promote peace, stability and prosperity in the Caribbean, Central and South American region.
