Students learn to build various types of shelters out of resources found in the Arctic region and build an A-frame structure to sleep in as part of the Arctic Survival Training Course. The Arctic Survival School trains airmen and joint partners to survive contingency scenarios, building regional expertise in accordance with the DoD and Air Force Arctic Strategies.
