Nicolas Erjavesk, Portland Air National Guard Base, Ore. 142nd Civil Engineer Squadron heavy equipment operator, uses a power washer to clean equipment used to pour concrete between pours at Ramstein Air Base, Germany during a Silver Flag training course, Nov. 17, 2021. Silver Flag teaches members from civil engineer, force support and vehicle maintenance career fields to learn skills necessary to complete large-scale base recovery and rapid air field damage recovery operations, which may be outside their primary duties.
