Sulaman Akbar Zada and Arzo Sultan Zada, a newly-wed couple from Camp Atterbury, Ind., receive their passes and credentials before boarding a bus and starting their new life in America on Nov. 24, 2021 at Camp Atterbury. Ind. Afghan guests begin their departure from Camp Atterbury, and finish off the resettlement process with an agency who coordinates living arrangements during Operation Allies Welcome. The Department of Defense, through the U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities in permanent or temporary structures as quickly as possible.
