Workers engage in construction activities for a satellite dining facility on Sept. 20, 2019 at Eielson Air Force Base. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District delivered the project in support of the installation’s F-35A aircraft beddown program. It is the latest district-built facility to achieve U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design silver certification for its sustainable design and construction practices that include factors like site selection, waste reduction, recycled products and more.
