U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Nodlyn Cajuste, combat cargo with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, guides a vehicle through the well deck aboard, amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), Dec. 1, 2021. Kearsarge, the flagship for the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) Six, is underway for Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise (AMX) in preparation for a future deployment. AMX is the second at-sea period in the MEU’s Predeployment Training Program; it aims to test the capabilities of the ARG/MEU team in a realistic paced threat environment.
