A U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswains Mate with amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), secures an MV-22 Osprey during flight operations, Dec. 2, 2021. Kearsarge, the flagship for the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) Six, is underway for Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise (AMX) in preparation for a future deployment. AMX is the second at-sea period in the MEU's Predeployment Training Program; it aims to test the capabilities of the ARG/MEU team in a realistic paced threat environment.
