U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment (3/2), 2d Marine Division, participate in a 2-chlorobenzylidene malononitrile (CS gas) training event on Camp Lejeune, N.C., Dec. 1, 2021. This training was apart of a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation, an exercise designed to formally evaluate a unit’s combat readiness and if successful, the unit will achieve apex status and is deemed ready for global employment.
