OKINAWA, Japan (Dec. 6, 2021) - A harbor pilot boards the Emory S. Land-class submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) as the ship prepares to moor at White Beach Naval Facility Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 6. This is the first time the ship has ported in Okinawa since its construction in 1976. Frank Cable is currently on patrol conducting expeditionary maintenance and logistics in support of national security in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
