    48th Fighter Wing

    U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 48th Fighter Wing work with contractors to create a new Foreign Object/Debris system to better accommodate Air Force needs at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, Nov. 23, 2021. The Laser Foreign Object/Debris detection system is able to not only monitor the condition of runways for cracks and abnormalities, but also create 3D profiles down to a millimeter resolution.
