Steve Koehler, commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet (left), speaks with Sailors assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) San Diego during a tour of the hospital's Virtual Medical Operations Center Dec. 9. Koehler toured NMRTC San Diego to gain a further understanding of the hospital's strengths, capabilities and support offered to the warfighter. NMRTC San Diego's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research.
