    U.S. Marine Corps Col. Douglas Burke, commanding officer of Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3d Marine Logistics Group, and Sgt. Maj. Jonathan Novak, sergeant major of CLR-37, 3d MLG, meet with the Republic of Korea Marine Commandant during Korean Marine Exercise Program in Pohang, South Korea, Oct. 31, 2021. KMEP is a bilateral training exercise that increases interoperability and strengthens combined capabilities of the ROK and U.S. Marines. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
