U.S. Marines with III Marine Expeditionary Force, demonstrate gear capabilities to Republic of Korea Marines during Korean Marine Exercise Program on Camp Mujuk, Pohang, South Korea, Oct. 18, 2021. CBRN Marines from across III Marine Expeditionary Force conduct a CBRN class in performing hazardous material response and emergency management operations with mission essential tasks in a simulated contaminated environment. KMEP is a bilateral training exercise that increases interoperability and strengthens combined capabilities of the ROK and U.S. Marines. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
