Airmen from the 577th Expeditionary Prime Beef Squadron use a vehicle with a scrubber brush to agitate a rubber removing solvent on the runway at Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 9, 2021. The process is generally done at night, when there is less air traffic. If too much rubber builds up on the runway, it can become slick and unsafe for future landings.
