Soldiers and Airmen practice presenting the U.S. flag before a Salute to Service football game at the U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dec. 09, 2021. Military members were invited to the U.S. Bank Stadium to present the U.S. flag during the national anthem. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
