U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Manny, the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego (MCRD) mascot, leads log drills at MCRD, Dec. 13, 2021. Manny is named after Sgt. Johnny R. Manuelito, one of the original 29 Navajo Code Talkers. Manny led Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion in their log drills alongside Senior Drill Instructor Sgt. Jarred A. Sagadraca.
