That day, both districts held a milestone ceremony to mark the levee’s completion. The levee is part of the Hamilton City Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project, a USACE partnership with Reclamation District 2140. The project’s goal is to reduce flood risk to Hamilton City while restoring approximately 1,400 acres of riparian habitat.
