A U.S. Air Force pararescueman jumpmaster, 82nd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron, prepares to conduct a high-altitude, high-opening jump over East Africa, Nov. 19, 2021. Pararescuemen maintain jump proficiency to enable rapid personnel recovery, provide secure, reliable, flexible combat search and rescue capabilities, and to rapidly deploy to austere locations to support U.S. and partner forces within the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa’s area of responsibility.
