A U.S. Marine AH-1Z Viper and a UH-1Y Venom prepare to conduct a tactical hot refueling operation at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Dec. 15, 2021. A hot fueling, designed to increase lethality and readiness, is defined as refueling of the helicopter with the main engine running.
