211221-N-NO842-1003 (Dec. 21, 2021) Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman Andres Santamaria administered a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot to a Sailor assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97) during a pierside shot exercise at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Though not yet mandatory, the Navy released a message encouraging all Sailors, both active duty and reserve, to receive a booster shot.
