Sgt. Samantha Schultz crosses the finish line during the 2019 Biathle/Triathle World Championships in St. Petersburg, Florida. Schultz qualified for the Olympics in Tokyo by placing second at the 2019 Pan-American Games modern pentathlon in Lima, Peru. At St. Petersburg, Schultz won gold in the mixed relay events and in the individual biathle and triathle, which are subevents of the modern pentathlon for training purposes. (Courtesy photo)
