Command Sgt. Major Onel O. LaBeach, incoming command Sgt. Major of the 164th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Brigade, Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG), addresses the audience during a Change of Responsibility ceremony, Saturday, January 8, 2022 in Orlando, Fla. LaBeach came from a small town in Jamaica is now responsible for over 1,400 Soldiers. “Today is a historic moment, the Army has been the first institution in the country to demonstrate inclusion and diversity within its’ ranks and it’s most refreshing when it happens at the highest level”. LaBeach highlighted ‘Soldier Care’ as his initiative to carry forth ADA’s Brigade Commander, Colonel Sean T. Boyette’s vision and concluded by addressing his formation with a portion of the NCO Creed, “No one is more professional than I, I am a Non-Commissioned Officer, Blazing skies, Hooah.”
