It's a tight fit for two boats in the Soo Locks approach canal at the same time in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Corps of Engineers policy requires that boats be secured to the pier while the departing vessel passes. Look closely and you will see deckhands standing by to cast off the Barker's lines and lead the vessel into the lock once the tug/barge has passed.
