SAN DIEGO (Jan. 14, 2022) Cmdr. Edward Givens, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit (NMRTU) Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego’s Dental Clinic department head (left), awards Kyoka Mizuno (right), assigned to NMRTU MCRD San Diego’s Dental Clinic, with a 10 Years Service Award during a ceremony at the clinic Jan. 14. Mizuno was given the award to recognize her 10 years of service working as a civilian employee in the Department of the Navy. NMRTC San Diego’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMRTC San Diego employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
